Tremont History Project
Tremont History Project's mission is to collect, to preserve, to research, and to share the rich history of Tremont. **We strive to correct inaccuracies of past articles and books by securing "original" information.Their strategic plan is to continue our work of preservation by conducting oral histories, by scanning archival photos and other items, by researching various histories of the neighborhood including ethnic groups, by expanding our volunteer base, by accessing grant monies and creating fund-raising opportunities, by adding to and maintaining our website, and by opening a Tremont History Museum/Center in our very own location.
