The weekend Festival is comprised of four categories or program areas which include:  Children’s—hands-on arts and educational projects; Community—area non-profit organizations are joined by independent and locally owned businesses and Tremont Farmers’ Market vendors; Cultural—food sales by  Tremont and regional restaurants, churches, and other organizations,  reflecting the ethnic diversity of the Northeast Ohio; and Artist—sales of paintings, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, and photographs by Tremont and Northeast Ohio artists. Seventy-two juried artists are eligible for consideration by the jurors for the Festival’s top three prizes.
The Jurors include: Amanda Lee, Steven Mastroianni, and Robert Hartshorn (please see article, p. 5). Amanda, Steven, and Robert bring a number of years of arts experience in a variety of media, and are all visual artists in Tremont.
Returning for a fourth year is Merrick House’s “Dollar Diner,” a healthy restaurant booth sponsored by ArcelorMittal. As part of Merrick House’s Healthy Living Initiative, they have partnered with MetroHealth dietitians and Tri-C culinary students to create a healthy menu of items that the Merrick House youth program will help serve.
Now growing strong in their fifth year with the Festival are the vendors of the Tremont Farmers’ Market village led by Farmers’ Market manager, Jim Votava. Jim is also serving as a logistics coordinator this year. The popular Farmers’ Market stage of  performing artists returns to the food court area located along W. 14th Street near Howard Avenue.
The Festival will also have music and dance performances both Saturday and Sunday on a main stage located near Kenilworth Avenue between West 14th Street and West 11th Street. The Music and Entertainment sub-committee is chaired by Tremont resident, Barbara McKay. Sound and Stage Manager is Dennis McNulty of Slate Grey Services. Slate Grey has participated each and every year of the Festival!
